The Siftio Framework is a proprietary framework developed by Amrit Dhillon for the design of trusted digital communities.

The framework is intended to be applicable across different types of communities, organizations and technology environments while maintaining its six foundations:

Licensing the Framework

The Siftio Framework may be made available under licence for organizations wishing to apply its principles to the development or evolution of a digital community.

Licensing is considered on an individual basis. An important consideration is whether the proposed implementation is consistent with the purpose and principles of the framework.

A licence may provide access to guidance and implementation material beyond the public information presented on Siftio.com. The nature and extent of that material will depend on the intended application and the licensing arrangement.

Maintaining the Integrity of Siftio

Siftio is intended to remain a coherent framework rather than a collection of principles that can be selectively adopted while still being represented as Siftio.

For this reason, use of the Siftio name in connection with an implementation requires authorization and adherence to the framework as applicable to that implementation.

This helps ensure that an organization or community identified as using Siftio reflects the principles the framework represents.

Intellectual Property

The Siftio Framework, its proprietary documentation, implementation methods and related materials remain the intellectual property of Amrit Dhillon.

A licence provides defined rights to use the framework for an authorized purpose. It does not transfer ownership of the framework or provide unrestricted rights to reproduce, redistribute or sublicense it.
